A Very Happy 13th Birthday

Darren's God Daughter Evie turns 13 today, I cant quite believe that 13 years have gone by so fast - it's also the year that Darren and I met (again), so her birthday always reminds me of how long we've been together.

Anyway, I had a bit of a tight timeline on this card, as Darren's work colleague Steve was taking it back to the UK for us, so this is what I came up with:-

Its a fairly simple layout that uses the lovely new Birthday Bouquet designer series 12x12 paper and my absolutely favourite, Number of Years stamp set and Large Numbers Framlits Dies.  

Stampin Up have also put together some Cardstock Packs that coordinate brilliantly with the DSP.  The pack I used was the Birthday Bouquet Pack which includes Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Whisper White.

New Year, New Products! Spring/Summer Catalogue and Sale A Bration 2016

Morning and a Happy New Year to you all!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and got everything you wished for!

I'm delighted to showcase the new Spring Summer Catalogue (click on the picture to take you to the PDF version), which went live today in my shop.  It is packed full of lovely new Spring/Summer products and covers occasions like Valentines, Easter, Mothers Day and also something for the men on Fathers Day.

As if that wasn't enough though, Sale-A-Bration (click on the picture to take you to the PDF version) has also started!!  This is the most amazing offer that Stampin' Up! offers throughout the year.

Sale a Bration (SAB) runs from 5th January 2016 to 31st March 2016

So, what is SAB?  Well, I can tell you.....

If you look through the little Sale-A-Bration book you will see a yellow “FREE” arrow throughout.  These are the products you can get for FREE with a qualifying order.  All you have to do is place an order of £45/€60 or more and you can choose from any of the 11 products in the book.  

If you look at the back you will see that some of the items have a limited availability and are only available until 15th February 2016 – so if you want them, you will need to be quick as they are strictly whilst stocks last.

But don't forget, its EVERY £45/€60 you spend gets you free stuff.  So if you order £90/€120 of products you can choose 2 items, £135/€180 gets you 3 items and so on!

Banbury Card Classes

Hi all,

I cant believe its nearly the end of February already!!

Since October of last year, I have been holding a monthly card class.  At my last one I had 5 of my lovely ladies come to spend the evening with me at the Ruscote Community Centre in Banbury.

My little helper came along for some of the evening as well:-

We typically make 3 items in total, and this is one of the cards we made:-

This one was using the 'Ombre' effect, which uses scraps of cardstock in different shades of the same colour. I then used the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set to stamp the beautiful poppy and greeting.

Stampin' Up! European Convention - Manchester 2013

Last week I was lucky enough to spend a few days with my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators at the European Convention in Manchester.  It was so much fun spending time with my 'Pinkie' friends, and we got to see lots of sneak peaks of upcoming products and samples.

It was held at the Manchester Central Convention Complex, and was a great location to do a bit of Christmas Shopping at the German Market.

We were lucky enough to stay at the beautiful Midland Hotel, which was absolutely amazing - the breakfast was lovely and a great way to start our busy days!

Swaps

Now swaps are a traditional part of any Stampin' Up! Event, and as I am so busy at the moment with normal everyday life/work, I decided that I needed to do something simple, but effective.  This is what I came up with:-

They're just little 'Vodka Jelly Shot' pots that I found on the internet, and I just decorated them with a punch of Modern Medley Designer Series Paper and one of my favourite little stamp sets 'A Fitting Occasion'.  I just filled them up with some small sweeties (for that quick sugar rush at convention), and everyone seemed to like them!!

I only made 50 of them in total, but I came home with 50 swaps back and each and every one different to the next!

I was lucky enough to win a PRIZE PATROL during Convention, but unfortunately im not able to share the product with you just yet, as its part of a new Valentines promotion that Stampin' Up! will be running from 1st December........watch this space!!

Pinkies Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter Seasonal Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop!  We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue.  Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

The new Seasonal Catalogue is packed full of items for the upcoming seasons.  Christmas, Halloween and Harvest/Thanksgiving are just a few of the products featured.

I personally love Halloween, and celebrate it every year with hand carved pumpkins and decorations.  I always make little treats for the whole family and include a little handmade card as well.

This year I will also be making Emily's teachers a little gift for Halloween.  The boxes are a variation on what I made for Christmas.  They are just big enough to hold a small item such as a hand cream or miniature body lotion, or even a little sweet something!

This is what they will each receive this year:-

The little treat box is made from one sheet of 12x12 Designer Series Paper and doesn't require any glue or tape.  Just simple scoring and folding!

The belly band around the middle is just made with a strip of Basic Black Cardstock which is wrapped around the middle and secured on the underneath.

I used the Trick or Treat stamp from Tags For You Stamp Set, and used my markers to colour in the sections with Basic Black for the outline and spiders, and Pumpkin Pie for the wording.

Here is my card to go along with the treat box:-

Using the Starburst technique, I have created a collage of papers from the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper collection.  It just shows how easy a background can be made from scraps of papers that have been left over from previous projects.

The sentiment and witch were from the Halloween Hello stamp set.  I stamped the witch in Basic Black, but instead of stamping it directly onto the Very Vanilla, I stamped it onto a scrap piece of paper first (to take away some of the ink) and then stamped it onto the correct piece of card so that it just had a lighter background effect.  This then allowed me to stamp the Halloween Hello over the top in Pumpkin Pie.

I used the Artisan Label Punch to punch them out.
