Stampin Blends are Coming - 1st November 2017

The new Stampin' Blends will be available for you to order from

1st November 2017

At the beginning of October, Stampin’ Up! announced to Demonstrators that we could pre-order the brand new product line of alcohol markers called Stampin' Blends.

I was so excited by this, as colouring with markers is something that I have been practising for a while.  I decided to therefore order the full set and they arrived last week:-

Stampin’ Blends are a Dual Tipped Marker and fully coordinate with other Stampin’ Up! products.

My Own Superhero's Birthday

Today is such a special day for our family, as my Hubby Darren celebrates his 44th Birthday.  When designing his birthday card, I thought it would be very apt to use the Everyday Hero Stamp Set, as of course he is MY Everyday Hero ❤!!

This stamp set is available to order from the current Spring/Summer catalogue.
I used the new Watercolour Pencils to colour in the Superhero, and also the  word WOW to match.  I'm not the best at colouring as I always manage to go outside the lines, but these new pencils were so easy to use and blended so well when using the Stampin' Up! Blender Pen.
I absolutely love the little row of buildings at the bottom of the card, so had to stamp them on the inside as well:-

This was a really fun card to make, so I'm hoping he will like it!

Here's the list of supplies that I used:-

There's a First Time for Everything!

Sometimes I struggle with ideas and colours when making cards.  I scour Pinterest or Google Images for inspiration, but sometimes when you 'sort' of know what you're looking for, it doesn't always jump out of the page!

So this week, I thought I would have a go at creating a card using the guidelines from a Challenge Blog.  These usually are a weekly challenge that can be either a colour combo, a theme or even a sketch.

I chose 2 different blogs in the end, Global Design Project for the colour combination and Freshly Made Sketches for the Sketch.

Here's the brief I was given:

So, I had the colour combo all set out, and also the sketch that needed to be followed!  Here's what I came up with:-

I used all of the colours in the #GDP077 colour combo + Very Vanilla as my free choice (just for the cardstock).

I kept it quite simple (and not too girly) as it was for one of Emily's 'boy' friends birthdays, so id been given STRICT instructions not to put any flowers or pink on it!

Hope you like it anyway, and here is the supply list should you want to re-create any of it yourself!

Dont forget if you spend more than £40/€60 then you can chose a FREE Sale-A-Bration item as well - more details are available if you click the catalogue on the right hand side.

Do you remember the last time you received a card in the post? In a sea of junk mail and bills, a card is a simple thing that really stands out to the person who receives it. Sending a card is a small gesture that shows just how much you care about that special someone in your life. On 1st October, Stampin; Up! celebrated World Card Making Day with their Demonstrators around the globe making and sending a handmade card to someone who could use a little recognition, love, or just a boost (which is anyone, really!).

In celebration of World Card Making Day, from 1-5 October, you can all save up to 25% on cardmaking essentials that can be used to share your love all year long!

Pinkies Blog Hop - Annual Catalogue

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

If you have arrived from Alex's blog at Hedgehog Hollow, then welcome!  For my project I have used one of my absolute favourite product suites from the new catalogue - Floral Boutique Suite.  I combined this with sentiments from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set as I made it with a birthday in mind.

I also used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to give my project a little sparkle and then finished it off with some Rhinestones.

The Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies were so easy to use and took no time at all to create this stunning card.  It really was a quick card to make, but gave stunning results.

I hope you enjoyed my little project and thank you for stopping by!  Its now time to carry on hopping to the lovely Michelle's blog to see what she has to share.

Until next time.....

A Very Happy 13th Birthday

Darren's God Daughter Evie turns 13 today, I cant quite believe that 13 years have gone by so fast - it's also the year that Darren and I met (again), so her birthday always reminds me of how long we've been together.

Anyway, I had a bit of a tight timeline on this card, as Darren's work colleague Steve was taking it back to the UK for us, so this is what I came up with:-

Its a fairly simple layout that uses the lovely new Birthday Bouquet designer series 12x12 paper and my absolutely favourite, Number of Years stamp set and Large Numbers Framlits Dies.

Stampin Up have also put together some Cardstock Packs that coordinate brilliantly with the DSP.  The pack I used was the Birthday Bouquet Pack which includes Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Whisper White.

All of the items used can be found in the New Spring/Summer Catalogue.  The catalogue can be viewed HERE if you want to take a peak?

Until next time....
