Niece's First Birthday Card

It was my Niece's First birthday last weekend, and I thought it would be nice to make her a card. I chose to use Stampin' Up's Party This Way stamp set (page 31 of the main catalogue) and the Just Perfect Alphabet (page 77 of the main catalogue), oh and of course as much PINK as I possibly could!!

I hand cut around the Pennants, as at the moment the UK don't have the Pennant Punch. I'm hoping when the new catalogue comes out in October that this will have made it across the pond!

I threaded the Linen Thread through each of the Pennants and then used a Gold Brad at each end to make it look a little like a washing line.

I then put some Crystal Effects onto the stamped letters. I have to say that I wasn't too impressed with the way this turned out, and if I'd have had more time, I would have done them all again! Shaky hands are not good with Crystal Effects lol!!

I stamped 3 balloons and just used some Dimensionals to give them a 3D effect. I hand drew the balloon strings with one of the Stampin Write Markers and tied a small bow to put at the bottom.

Recipe: Party This Way Stamp Set, Just Perfect Alphabet, Pretty In Pink A4 Cardstock, Whisper White A4 Cardstock, Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack - Subtles Collection, Pretty In Pink 1cm Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin Write Markers Crystal Effects, Linen Thread and Gold Brads
