Darren's Mom Janet has suffered quite badly with knee and hip problems over the years, and last week she underwent a complete hip replacement. She's done really well since the operation and was discharged from hospital on Friday. We went to visit her on Sunday, and I took inspiration from the Just Add Ink Challenge #181 for the colours of my Get Well Card.
These were the colours that had to be used:-
And here is my card:-
Its a fairly simple design using the Delightful Dozen stamp set. To make it look a little different, I stamped one of the sentiments onto black card stock using the new Silver Metallic Encore Pad. This is a wonderful new addition to the products available from Stampin' Up! and it can be found in the new Seasonal Catalogue along with a Gold one too!
Recipe

7/8" (2.2 cm) Scallop Circle Punch - £11.50 (129404)

What a great card, sure to cheer up your mother-in-law, Nicky! I'm impressed with how well the Silver Encore inkpad stamps on black card; I thought you'd embossed that sentiment. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. :)
Fabby card Nicky...great use of the colours! :)
